About Us
Our Story
It started with a morning I'm not proud of.
Hi, I'm Linda. One Tuesday, running late, I was on the hallway floor trying to force a shoe onto my toddler's foot while he cried and pulled away from me. I got cross with him. And then I looked at the shoe in my hand — stiff, narrow, a fight every single morning — and realised he wasn't the problem. The shoe was.
Like a lot of parents, we'd spent far too long searching for toddler shoes that actually ticked every box. Wide enough for chunky little feet. Soft enough that they'd keep them on. Easy enough to slip on without the daily struggle. Most of what we tried was narrow, stiff, or such a battle to get on that mornings became something we dreaded.
And the more we looked, the more one thing became clear. Little feet are still growing. They do best with room to move the way nature intended — space for toes to spread, a sole that bends with them, and nothing forcing them into a shape they were never meant to be in.
Barefoot-style shoes made sense. But so many were either wildly expensive, or didn't come in a genuinely wide, foot-shaped fit. The thing we actually needed didn't seem to exist.
So we decided to make it ourselves.
Pippa & Vale shoes are built around how little feet really move. Wide and foot-shaped, so toes have room to spread and grip. Soft, breathable and light, so they're comfortable from breakfast to bath time. And simple to slip on, so leaving the house stops being a fight and starts being just another part of the day.
These are the shoes our own children love to wear. The ones that ended our hallway battles. The ones we're proud to put on the feet of families like yours.
Our promise is a simple one. Thoughtfully made shoes, honest about what they are, at a price that feels fair — from a team of parents who genuinely want to help. And if something isn't right, you tell us, and we'll make it right. Every time.
Because every child deserves room to grow. And every parent deserves a morning without the fight.
Room to grow, room to roam.
